Masked Marauder Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 It goes to one of the vacuum servos on the buklhead IIRC. Quote
marinabrid Posted March 4, 2006 Author Report Posted March 4, 2006 this is the prob with my pipes ! i need to know to which one it goes bearing in mind that the early tdi 90 has a different turbo solenoid to the later models with a vacuum tank. mine has a small square one next to the egr solenoid. on later ones they are all piped in together as in the haynes book but early ones are a seperate. i think, Quote
Masked Marauder Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Well that pipe goes to the EGR I think. I will check the diagrams in ElsaWin presently. Quote
marinabrid Posted March 5, 2006 Author Report Posted March 5, 2006 have caught a nice chap at petrol station, looked at his, the pipe goes right round the back of the engine and dissaperas somewhere below !!!!!!! would like to know though just out of curiosity. Quote
andymet Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Hi This pipe controls the Turbo waste gate, if its disconnected or leaking you will experince the turbo dropping out and loss of power when the engine is under load, ie going uphill especially towing. Quote
